TARA Air Plane Crash in Nepal, 23 Dead
Bodies have been found ‘scattered everywhere’ among the burning wreckage at the crash site of a passenger plane which vanished shortly after take-off in Nepal.Officials said the aircraft took off from Pokhara, a resort town 125 miles west of Kathmandu, and was heading north to Jomsom, the starting point for trekkers going into mountainous areas. Children are said to be among 23 people feared dead after the Twin Otter turboprop aircraft went down. Aviation minister Aananda Prasad Pokharel said the aircraft had been found in the western district of Myagdi and bodies could be seen scattered around it.’The wreckage of the plane was found in a completely burnt state in Solighopte in Myagdi district,’ said Pokharel, minister for culture, tourism and civil aviation. ‘The team there say that the bodies are scattered and it is not possible to identify anyone right now. ‘More security agencies are being deployed and we are trying to get more information.’
