Baburam Bhattarai has announced the much-touted new political force along with its 35 members of its Interim Central Council today. Announcing the new force amid a press conference in the capital, Bhattarai said that the Central Council will constitute a total of 265 members. Members announced today comprise of former secretary Rameswor Khanal, former lawmaker, Keshav Man Shakya, Pasang Sherpa, former AIF Ganesh Rai, actress Karishma Manandhar, among others. Former lawmaker and Chairman of Nepa Rastriya Party Dr Keshabman Shakya, members of the Social Democratic Party Chaitainya Subba, Pasang Sherpa and Lamardan Kami also announced the merger of their parties with the new force. Meanwhile, speaking at the programme, Bhattarai, who quit the UCPN (Maoist) some four months ago, said that the new force was established to make Nepali politics responsible, creative, disciplined and harmonious. Industrialist Binod Chaudhary delivered the welcome speech in the event. -
