Nabindra Raj Joshi is the leader of Nepali Congress. He was elected as Constituent Assembly Member representing Kathmandu, Capital of Nepal in 2006 and serves as a member of State Restructuring Committee on assembly. He is also Spokesperson of Nepali Congress, Parliamentary Party. Preparations for Nepali Congress (NC) General Convention scheduled for March 3-6 have reached the final stage. Contact offices of NC in Kathmandu have been decorated with party flags and banners. NC Kathmandu President Sabuj Baniya (Krishna) said the general convention committee formed under the chairmanship of Kathmandu district president has started hoisting NC flags in electricity poles on the streets of Kathmandu from Monday evening. It has plans to put up more than 5,000 party flags in the Kathmandu Valley alone, and more than 1,600 party flags were already put up as of Tuesday. Likewise, preparations are underway to construct big seven gates at various places in the Valley (Kalanki, Airport, Koteshwor, Babarmahal, Tripureshwor, Bhrikuti Mandap, Ratnapark).

The committee member and NC central member Badri Pandey said that most of the works of the committee have been completed and the remaining tasks would be in the final stage. Likewise, NC central member Dr Narayan Khadka said that works were on to manage budget for the convention under the finance committee formed under the coordination of NC leader Dr Ram Sharan Mahat. Similarly, the accommodation and food management committee was speeding up its works to manage accommodation and food for the convention representatives, supervisors, guests and helpers. The committee coordinator Bal Bahadur KC said that bookings would be made in hotels in four places in the valley. Around 4,000 convention representatives, supervisors, guests and others expected to take part in the convention will be provided with lodging and food, he added. RSS
