A dog suffering from a skin disease that made its coat as hard as stone has made a miraculous recovery.The animal, who has been given the name Alice, was found in the back of an abandoned tuk-tuk in India, covered in fleas.She was suffering from mange, a skin disease caused by parasitic mites that leads to itching and hair loss. The disease had made the dog’s coat as hard as rock.A video posted by rescue organisation Animal Aid Unlimited shows the moment Alice was found – she was thin and weak and dying of hunger.The video is titled, “Awe-inspiring recovery of a dog turning to stone from mange”.
