Comedy is the act or a form of entertainment consisting of jokes, satire or humorous performance which makes everybody laugh. When we hear the word comedy or video comedy our sense will be automatically active and prepare our self to laugh and forget everything else. There are different forms of comedy among them silent comedy is one which was hugely practised in the silent film era.

Silent comedy is the dramatic work introduced to create fun among the audience by using facial expression and body movement replacing the words and sounds. While talking about Nepali video comedy sector there has been a lot of new creations and involvements of new generation which indicates a rapid growth in Nepali comedy.

At the early days, even when Nepal Television was not established respectful comedians like Dhurba Hada, late Rajpal Thapa used to entertain people by performing stage shows. Gradually technology entered the premises of Nepal and Nepali comedy started to rise. ‘MAHA’ Jodi (Madana Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya), Santosh Panta brought a unique reform in Nepali comedy and made people laugh through their act.
